When Feng Yue Dao hit theaters, the reality and variety shows were already wrapping up. Fang Ying and Xu Qiuluo’s star power had been rising steadily for two years, and naturally, the box office soared. When it smashed the ¥1 billion mark, the director, investors, and main cast threw a big celebratory banquet.

Fang Ying, never much of a drinker, kept getting shielded from booze by Xu Qiuluo. But no matter how much Xu tried to hold him back, he just had to drink.

Since he couldn’t stop him, Xu gave up. Eventually Fang drank so much that he collapsed, face-down on the table moaning “I feel awful.” Only then did Xu say, “He’s done for; I’m calling the driver to take him home.”

Half-supporting him, half-carrying him, Xu half-hugged Fang and led him out.

Drunk Fang was especially adorable.

The kind of adorable that made Xu Qiuluo want to pin him down and tease him like a kid.

Fang didn’t resist the hug—he let Xu hold him, acting like the sweetest, most obedient little puppy.

In the elevator, he lifted his chin to rest on Xu’s shoulder, wide-eyed, silent but staring, eyes wet and sparkling with dumb happy grins nonstop.

Once out of the elevator, he couldn’t hold it anymore and started rambling non-stop, pulling at Xu’s sleeve.

At first, it was smooth sailing—he gushed about how happy he was.

By the end, he was stuttering a little: “L-Luo... Luo-ge, I like, like you.”

Xu dragged him into the car, tossed him on the back seat, and stood beside him, listening to his drunken ramble.

Fang continued: “Your eyes have stars, the ocean, the moon...” he tilted his head, gazing carefully into Xu’s eyes, “And now... now also me.”

Xu’s heart practically melted. He reached out to touch Fang’s face.

Fang went on: “You’re stunningly handsome, like a celestial descended from heaven. The gods’ love started in Greece, my love started... with you.”

Xu: ……

Fang reached up, brushed his hand over Xu’s face: “My love started with your looks, deepened with your talent, loyal to your character,” he got choked up a bit, “Life’s not worth it, but you are, Luo-ge! Sob sob sob.”

Where the hell did he learn to spit out such rainbow-flavored compliments while drunk?!

And can this cute-but-annoying drunk colorful praise habit ever be broken?!

Xu’s melted, soft heart disappeared instantly: “Fang Ying, get your head straight right now!”

Fang hugged him by the neck, tears streaming as he slurred: “Like a jade in the valley, a peerless prince. You’re the best Xu Qiuluo in the whole world! Sniff sniff”

Xu laughed, clearly amused: “Alright, alright, enough.”

“Your confession attitude’s wrong—too exaggerated!” Xu teased.

The next day, nearly noon, Fang finally sobered up.

His head hurt like crazy, but there was Xu Qiuluo standing by the door, arms crossed, a teasing half-smile on his face.

Fang just glanced at him—and his head exploded with explosions of all those shameless “white lotus” lines from the night before, stacks of memories coming rushing back.

Xu walked over laughing: “Like a jade in the valley, a peerless prince.”

Fang: ……

“The gods’ love started in Greece, mine started with you.”

Fang: ……

“Life’s not worth it, but you are, Luo-ge! Sob sob”

Fang: ………

Xu was now right by his bed: “Luo-ge, you’re the person I love the most in the entire freaking world!”

Fang raised a hand: “Wait, I never said that.”

Xu laughed so hard: “Well then, Mr. Fang, who is your favorite person?”

Fang: “Obviously my mom.”

Xu: … 凸

“Fine, your mom, your mom.”

Xu bent down to look at him: “So who’s your favorite writer?”

Fang frowned and said sarcastically: “Why are you interrogating me with three questions so early? You know the answers already.”

“Who?” Xu prodded.

“Big Cucumber! Big Cucumber! Big Cucumber!!!”

“Good answer.” Xu nodded, pinched Fang’s cheek, shook it gently, then bit softly on the most tender spot.

Fang’s cheeks flushed bright red. “My idol couldn’t be so soft-hearted,” he grumbled.

Xu laughed: “Big Cucumber’s been wall-hopping for ten years, and from now on, Mr. Fang Huai, you’re only allowed to be a LuoYing shipper. Can you manage that?”

Fang’s reply was instant and firm: “Nope.”

Xu: … “What’s wrong with this dude?! Even a stubborn mule’s mouth ain’t this tough!”

Xu spun dramatically to leave, like it was goodbye forever to green hills and clear waters.

Fang dropped his pants-wrangling hands and wrapped his arms around Xu’s neck from behind.

Xu: “What now?”

Fang: “Fang Huai can’t do it, but there’s one person who can.”

Xu raised an eyebrow and turned to look.

Fang spoke carefully: “Luo-ge, I like you.”

Just like his drunken ramble yesterday: “No stars in my eyes, no ocean, no moon, but there’s Xu Qiuluo.”
